You may not believe this but growing up I was overweight. Almost 50 pounds overweight to be exact. After college I decided that I owed it to myself and my health to lose the weight that could cause me serious health issues in the future. I tried everything! All of the diets, fads, weight loss supplements but nothing worked! Calorie counting became exhausting. I had no time for meal prepping. I found out from some serious research that although I was dieting I was still overeating. So I decided to try something new, or at least new to me. Something people have been doing for years to lose weight and gain spiritual and mental strength I decided to fast.
Fasting is a concept that has been used for centuries. By Jesus, Buddha, Mohammad and many other spiritual leaders. But fasting is not just for spiritual and mental strength it can also help you lose a substantial amount of weight in a short amount of time. Intermittent fasting has helped me keep my weight under control and improve my overall health. I was able to do things that I was not able to do before. I was able to run one full mile because I was lighter on my feet and did not have to carry all that extra weight. I could do a full pull up because I was 50 pounds lighter. I ate less because my stomach was now smaller. I could digests food faster because my body wasn't working overtime trying to burn 3 to 6 meals a day. I was even able to place third in a national bodybuilding show in 2015.
Why am I telling you all this? Because I know there are some of you out there with a story just like mine. Who have tried all the diets, fads and supplements but still fail to lose that extra 50, 60 or even 100 pounds dragging you down. No matter how hard you try. Intermittent fasting is not a diet, it is not a fad or a supplement, it is a lifestyle and a commitment that has been around for centuries. It is the scientifically proven way to help you take off the weight. So stop spending all you money on money or weight loss supplements and excess food. Get the body you deserve!
